
The Pension Reserves Investment Management Board
The Pension Reserves Investment Management (PRIM) Board, headquartered at 53 State Street, Suite 600, Boston, MA 02109, manages the assets of the Pension Reserves Investment Trust (PRIT) Fund. Established in 1983, PRIM oversees investments for Massachusetts State Employees, Massachusetts Teachers, Boston Teachers, and participating local retirement systems across the Commonwealth.
Its mission is to maximize returns within acceptable risk levels through broad diversification, economies of scale, and access to high-quality investment management. The PRIT Fund’s asset allocation includes global equity, fixed income, private equity, real estate, timberland, and portfolio completion strategies. As of September 30, 2024, the fund achieved a record market value of $110.5 billion.
