Jacqueline Wilson was a distinguished community leader and philanthropist in Detroit, Michigan. As the First Lady of Wayne State University (WSU), she founded the Helping Individuals Go Higher (HIGH) Program in 2013. This initiative was dedicated to ensuring that no student had to leave the university due to housing or financial hardships, offering support such as housing assistance, textbooks, clothing, transportation, and childcare.

Before her tenure at WSU, Mrs. Wilson accumulated over two decades of experience in corporate sales with AT&T and WorldCom, followed by a role as an energy consultant at Schneider Electric. Her commitment to community welfare extended beyond the university; she served on the Women’s Advisory Council for Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence and the Samaritas Advisory Council, focusing on connecting individuals to supportive communities and families.
